NBA Youngboy and TI team up to pay tribute to late Grand Hustle Vice President Clay Evans on their new track “LLOGCLAY.”
Evans, one of the founding employees of the TI brand who served as Lil Duval’s manager for nearly a decade, died on March 24, 2023, about two weeks after suffering a massive stroke from which he never fully recovered.
“But there’s no more Clay, what the fuck is that? Remember this/Being rich a lifetime doesn’t mean shit when you’re living weird/If your relationship isn’t still intact, give it back/ Now my eyes are watching my partner die in hospice,” Tip raps in the song.

Former TI manager and Grand Hustle co-founder Jason Geter posted the song on Instagram this week, reflecting on their time together.
“I miss my friend Flamingo aka Clay every day. Still want to pick up the phone and call him to talk dirty or even ask for advice. @tip @atlsnake We did set a blueprint that many followed and this is the impact !Tipp will set a new record this Friday in honor of our brother.
After his death last year, many artists whose careers were influenced by Clay Evans expressed their sadness at his passing in the comments on the family statement, including Diddy, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Big Boi, Pharrell, Bun B, Jermaine Dupri, Waka Flocka Flame, Don Toliver and more.
In one of many tributes to his friend and manager, Lil Duvall spoke of Klay Evans’ support for him over the past year as he recovered from a game that left him paralyzed for much of 2022 and Struggling to recover from a tragic accident in a wheelchair.
“When I got hit by a car, I was lying on the ground bleeding on FaceTime saying, ‘I’m sorry, man, it’s over and I can’t perform anymore,'” the comedian wrote. “He said to me ‘Oh [ninja emoji] You get back on that stage, even in a wheelchair, I have to push you,” and that’s what he did.
“As a legend and an OG, he was still humble and wholeheartedly there for me when I was down. He even went to the store to buy me underwear when I was in the hospital. He was so real.
