It looks like the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has reached a level of tension between Boi-1da and Mustard.
Unless you live under a rock, you’ll know that Boi-1da is a friend of Drake’s and a purveyor of some of his hits, while Mustard produced Kendrick Lamar’s scathing diss and smash hit “Not Like Us.” The pair have been on good terms so far from what has been seen online, but following the tension between Drake and Kendrick, things appear to have soured.
Mustard released some private DMs exchanged between them, in which 1da said “West Coast rap sucks.”
“Say it, man,” Mustard wrote in a story directed at Boi-1da, before sharing a screenshot of the DM.
“Nobody outside of LA wants to hear that shit,” 1da said, while Mustard hit back at the moment with a laughing emoji. “@boi1da I thought you were a real person, I didn’t know you felt this way,” he captioned the exchange in another IG Story post. “I thought you were serious, I didn’t know you felt this way,” Wasabi continued. 1da previously congratulated him on the success of “Not Like Us”
He concluded with another IG story, writing: “That’s the end of my ted talk. Lame a**.
Boi-1da has yet to respond or react to the reports online, but we will update here if he does.
