Mission: Infect is an underground organization whose members include Lo Key, Badluck, Dubbs, DurtE, Grewsum, Madd Maxxx, Malaria, Mumm Ra, St. Sinna, Tha Wikid One and Zero. Together they have released 6 full-length albums over nearly 20 years, including the Chemical Menace Quadrilogy, XterM:Ination & Asphyxiation, and quite a few other members have made their mark as solo artists in the evil shit scene success. However, after a seven-year hiatus, the crew reunited to prepare their first EP.
“Pathogen,” starring Grewsum, Lo Key, Madd Maxxx, and Tha Wikid One, is a hardcore trap opener where they don gas masks, while “Guns Up,” starring Badluck, Grewsum, and Lo Key, is a bit of a borrowed Electronic dance music style, about how to unite soldiers. Prior to “Load ‘Em Up” featuring DurtE, Lo Key, Madd Maxxx, and Tha Wikid, all 3 emcees lowered the fight bar with kicks and snares on “Old Man Flow.” One finds the quartet talking about knocking them out over a dark trap beat.
Badluck, Grewsum, and Lo Key reunite for “Get Ya Mask On,” return to the buzz, perform door-to-door, and turn heads on “Fire Back,” featuring Dubbs, Lo Key, and Malaria Naturally, veterans were beheaded again. “Welcome Home,” featuring Badluck, Grewsum, Malaria, Mumm Ra, St. Sinna and Zero, closes out the EP, each closing the EP with kick drums, snare drums and electronic synths, acknowledging the underground The band misses them as a unit.
This is the second-longest gap between Mission: Infection releases since Chemical Menace 3 and Chemical Menace 4 were released eight years after Asphyxiation, as each focuses on further establishing themselves as solo artists. . That said: arM:Igeddon still proves that this collective hasn’t faded away after all this time. The sounds produced are diverse, whether it’s horrorcore, trap, boom beat, hardcore hip-hop or electronic/electronic dance, everyone sounds happy to be back together.
