Mike Tyson’s much-anticipated fight against Jake Paul has been postponed after the boxing legend suffered a medical incident on May 26 on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
About 30 minutes before the plane landed, Tyson experienced severe nausea and dizziness from an ulcer attack during the trip.
Medical staff will pick you up after arriving. Tyson’s rep later confirmed he was “doing well” and on the road to recovery.
After a follow-up consultation on May 29, medical experts recommended that Mike Tyson conduct minimal training to avoid further health risks.
The health incident postponed Tyson’s showdown with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, which had been scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Mike Tyson has been advised to limit training during his rehabilitation period to ensure the athlete competes at peak performance levels.
The game will be rescheduled and a new date is expected to be announced next week.
Both boxers agreed postponing the fight was the fairest route to ensure they both had adequate preparation time.
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul supported the decision, acknowledging the importance of equal preparation time for such a high-stakes fight.

“The health and well-being of our athletes is our top priority,” said a spokesperson for promotion company MVP. “Mike expects to resume a full training program soon and is eager to return to the ring.”
Reaction to the delay on social media was mixed: disappointment and concern, with many expressing hope for a speedy recovery for Tyson.
Hahaha, didn’t Mike Tyson just get sick on the plane? Stop talking, he is 57 years old.

Dear Jake Paul Stein
Do you really think this fight should happen? Do you really think Jack fighting a 60-year-old Mike Tyson is a legitimately good move? Especially after this.
to be honest.

Mike Tyson was probably still one of the deadliest boxers in the world at that age 😂😂 I know his moves may not be there but even if he was dying I wouldn’t want to get punched by him

You value @MikeTyson’s health and you want him to be healthy, but didn’t you say in your last press conference that you were going to end him? I don’t understand how someone your age would want to fight an old man, no matter how prepared they are
