Power Book II: Ghost has been cancelled. This chapter in the fictional story of Tariq St. Patrick, played by Michael Rainey Jr., will conclude later this year.
Starz Network has reportedly announced that Power Book II: Ghosts will end with its fourth season. Michael Rainey Jr. has reacted to the news that the crime drama has been cancelled.
“Playing Tarik St. Patrick on the Thrones universe has been an amazing platform that has opened doors for young actors like me, and I’m so grateful,” the 23-year-old entertainer said in a statement.
Michael Rainey Jr. also added, “While the end of book two may feel abrupt and disappointing, I choose to think of it as a transition for many of us into the next chapter of our careers. stepping stone.”
Starz debuted Power Book II: Ghosts in 2020 as a sequel and spin-off to Power, which aired from 2014 to 2020. The two-part final season of “Ghost” premieres on June 7 and September 6 respectively.
Michael Rainey Jr. returns in “Book of Thrones II” alongside a cast that includes Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Woody McLaine Woody McClain and Michael Ealy. The Louisville native has also appeared in films such as 2012’s “LUV” and 2016’s “Barbershop: The Next Cut.”
Hip-hop mogul 50 Cent serves as executive producer of the “Power” series. The G-Unit Film and Television founder recently revealed that a new series tentatively titled “Power Origins” is in production.
