After destroying Denzel Curry’s “BLACK FLAG FREESTYLE,” the Mexican OT is still bringing some raucous energy to the rap game with his fiery verses. His latest example is his new collaboration with Curren$y and Le$, “1982.” Additionally, the song consists of a rather smooth and crisp drum beat, distant and dramatic horns, and atmospheric embellishments. The Texas MC is as charismatic and confident as ever in this promotion, showing his credentials heading into the XXL freshman class of 2024.
Of course, the Mexican OT’s sleepy but powerful voice is a big part of this appeal, but on “1982” he showcases some dynamic and well-structured flows with his dominant skills. Le$ calms things down with a more direct flow in the second verse, while Curren$y’s performance in the final third is more head-turning and catchy in terms of his rhyme scheme. The βARβ MC takes this single and blends hype and harmony in a very unique way.
Mexican OT, Le$, and Curren$y may be dropping more material in 2024, and if it continues to ramp up the intensity with cuts like “Talkin In Screw,” we’re in for some fun. quote lyrics
I just relaxed and looked at the route and felt like I was Cam,
Like I’m a wild boy like Steve-O, kicking money like Bam,
Drinking wine in New York, I poured a glass of wine for yams,
The eighth Jordan pack has just been launched, hiding it like Wham!
