Metro Boomin says he was hacked, denies ‘all those corny tweets’

Metro Boomin claims his social media accounts have been hacked since the release of “We Don’t Believe You” late last month, and that some posts sent under his username did not originate from him.

Metro said in a post on Twitter/X on Tuesday (April 2) that his phone number and account were hacked on March 20, the day his joint album with Future was released.

“Today I got my phone number and account back, someone hacked me the day the album was lost,” he wrote. “I post those same corny tweets all day long that I know don’t fit my personality. All positivity is always on my side. We are blessed. It’s all love #WeDontTrustYou.”

In addition to some of Kendrick Lamar’s diss on Drake on the album, which could be considered a disservice to Drake, Metro has been on the rise since he claimed he was hacked. Posts on the platform mainly promote the project and thank the media for supporting the project. The producer said there were only a handful of problematic tweets, which he quickly deleted after regaining control of the account.

In a follow-up post about the hack, Metro shared screenshots of hackers trying to text Balenciaga representatives to obtain Chanel products.

“This n-gga is so stupid, he texted the Balenciaga store talking about Chanel bags and I was pissed off, but this part made me laugh a little bit can’t lie,” Metro wrote.

Just got my phone number and account back today, someone hacked me the day the album was lost

and all those corny tweets

I’ve known all day that this doesn’t exist in my personality

All positivity is always on my side
we wish
It’s all love❤️💜 #WeDontTrustYou https://t.co/CyqZ7HFzpK

Metro said one of the “corny tweets” he was referring to was a post from Monday (April 1) in which he called out rappers who he said were “scared” to support the album.

“I see a lot of n-ggas who are also afraid of releasing albums [crying face emojis] #IForgiveButIDontForget #WEDONTTRUSTYOU [no pedestrians emojis]”.

Many fans speculated that the comment was directed at 21 Savage, who has been a close collaborator with Metro and Drake and has yet to post about “We Don’t Trust You” (although he has been relatively absent on social media since the album’s release) Active) on sale late last month).

Producers acknowledged as much on Tuesday.

“I looked like I was on the bench and we were on the phone for an hour two days ago,” he wrote. “You all should be aware that something was going on at the time, but negativity and bad news travels faster and further than anything else.”

— Metro Boomin (@MetroBoomin) April 2, 2024

However, Metro clarified that his tweet about rappers needing to “pick a side” on “We Don’t Trust You” was indeed his, which seemingly led to a feud between Drake and the album’s Rick Ross question.

If you’re wondering lmaooo, I definitely tweeted this https://t.co/hSnrXqCJL1
