Metro Boomin reacts to news of new album and song hitting No. 1
On Monday (April 1), former XXL editor-in-chief Elliott Wilson shared a post on Instagram showing a tweet from Metro Boomin, who was celebrating the debut of his joint album with Future, We Don’t Trust You Get first place. on the Billboard 200 chart. Metro commented under the post: “#VillainEra.”
Some fans in the comments section began to suggest that the album wouldn’t have reached the heights it did without Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s jab at Drizzy and J. Cole on “Like That.”
“The album will be #1 no matter what,” Metro added in a follow-up comment. “No matter what, there’s going to be a No. 1 single. Fuck off, that guy doesn’t even know you.”

“We Don’t Trust You” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 on Sunday (March 31), becoming the biggest first-week sales of an album released in 2024. The album entered the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Monday. announced, revealing that “Like That” also topped the singles chart. Future joins Drake as the only two male artists in history to have a No. 1 song and album on two separate occasions.
