If you follow Megan the Stallion, you know she’s a huge fan of other cultures. This is especially true for Japan. Even though K-pop supergroup TWICE hails from South Korea, the Houston rapper isn’t about to pass up the chance to work with them. That’s exactly what happened this weekend, as they just released “Strategy,” the opening and title track of TWICE’s 14th(!) mini-album. If you’re not familiar, they are one of the most popular K-pop groups, with BLACKPINK and BTS probably the only ones ahead of them.
They are known for songs such as “What Is Love?” “FANCY,” “The Feels,” and “I CAN’T STOP ME.” “Strategy” will probably go down as one of their favorite songs, though, because it’s so catchy. It has cute charm and colorful personality and is very practical. The producers have truly crafted a winning instrument by flawlessly blending the various instruments and sound effects into the mix. What also sells us on this record is the pre-chorus, chorus and chorus. This is a very empowering anthem for girls about how to make a man fall over them according to their own strategies. Megan also has a fun and lively verse at the back end that ties things together nicely. You’ll be addicted once you hear it. Trust us, we’re talking from first-hand experience.
