Megan Thee Stallion denounced alleged online defamation tactics and defended her personal life during a live broadcast just hours after releasing her new single “Lover Girl.”
In a video posted over the weekend, the Houston rapper addressed the wave of hostility online, saying she felt it was too orchestrated to be organic. “When I peek online and see what you guys are doing, I think you get easily offended and easily discouraged because you all know people are being paid to talk crazy about me,” she said. “Like, doesn’t that seem a little weird? Like the hatred for Megan Thee Stallion seems overwhelming? Like, that doesn’t seem right, does it?”
The Grammy winner firmly believes some of the backlash is part of a coordinated effort.
“That’s not the case because people are paid to do this. These are bots, these are paid people,” she said. “Like, if you look at some of these people’s tweets, you’ll see this is a guy who’s been tweeting about sports for eight years. Now all of a sudden, he hates Megan Thee Stalin. These people are paid to do this. Stop listening to them. B####, their time is up.”
The livestream comes one day after Meghan dropped “Lover Girl,” the sexy song that highlighted her relationship with NBA star Klay Thompson. The couple was recently seen at a competition together, and their public chemistry has raised eyebrows.

Meghan also hit back at critics who question her lifestyle. “What’s there to hate? I wouldn’t do that. I’d be in the house with my man, my dog, in the studio watching anime,” she said.
She encouraged her supporters to choose their battles wisely. “When I give you something to cry about, just cry, okay? Then we can start crying. I haven’t given you anything to cry about yet. When there’s a reason to fight, fight back. We’re chill right now, hottie. We’re listening to Lover Girl, baby.”

Her comments come in the wake of ongoing legal battles, including a lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz. Akademiks, who was recently removed from office as part of the case, later criticized Meghan’s legal team and Roc Nation for raising what he said were frivolous issues.
