Megan Thee Stallion says she doesn’t know what the problem is between her and Nicki Minaj.
Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t know why she’s mad at Nicki
Megan Thee Stallion spoke with Billboard on Wednesday (September 4) and briefly addressed her ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj. Meg and Nicki exchanged some diss songs in early 2024, and when asked if they could have a truce in the future, Meg admitted she wasn’t sure.
“To this day I still don’t know what the problem was,” Meg told the publication. “I don’t even know what could be reconciled because to this day I don’t know what the problem is.”

Why are Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj fighting?
Tensions between Meg and Nicki are rumored to have started around 2021, when fans thought the Barbz leader threw shade at the Houston hottie on Seeing Green. From that point on, it became increasingly clear that the two rappers disliked each other more and more as the subliminal argument raged on.
Then in January, Meg unleashed her fury with a “hiss” that many believed was directed at Nicki. While she never mentioned Nicki’s name, the latter fired back with her diss song “Big Foot” and went on a scathing rant on social media for days mocking her for being shot by Tory Lanez.
Nicki also responded directly to the Houston rapper’s “Megan’s Law” bar, which refers to a federal law that requires law enforcement to provide information about registered sex offenders to the public. The bar may be a mockery of Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who was indicted in 2020 for failing to register as a sex offender in California. Petty previously served nearly four years in prison for the attempted first-degree rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995.
“This little beggar is talking about Megan’s Law/For free beats, you can hit Megan raw (uh)/If you’re a ghostwriter, Paddy’s on Megan’s chin (uh)/Shoot, but I still don’t let Megan score (Tell them, duh),” Nicki raps on the Tate Kobang and ZellTooTrill-produced track.
