Meghan discussed what fans can expect from the new project in an interview with L’OFFICIEL earlier this week. “This is the music I would want if I wasn’t Megan Thee Stallion. I don’t want to say I’m branching out into other genres. I’m just tapping into other sounds. But it’s still very much Megan Thee Stallion. No. It feels like I’ve gone too far to the left, which is true for me,” she told the outlet. “You almost say, ‘I didn’t expect her to rap, but this sounds great.'” Megan will retire on June 28.
‘Megan’ to be released later this month
The album was released last week after she and GloRilla teamed up with Cardi B to remix “Wanna Be.” She’ll hit the road in Raleigh, Tampa and more cities on her Hot Girl summer tour in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for further updates on Megan Thee Stallion and the new album on HotNewHipHop.
