Megan Thee Stallion is scheduled to go on trial next week along with the blogger she is suing for defamation.
According to court documents obtained by XXL on Friday (November 14), Meghan’s civil defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro “Gramz” Cooper will be heard in a Miami court on Monday (November 17) before Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga.
Meghan sued Cooper in October 2024 for defamation, promotion of altered sexual depiction and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Meghan accused Cooper of conspiring with Tory Lanez and her father, Sunstar Peterson, to orchestrate online harassment, including spreading false rumors and false videos about Meghan. In January, she successfully obtained a five-year restraining order against the incarcerated rapper.
DJ Akademiks and Adin Ross have been removed from their roles as part of the lawsuit. Tory Lanez was released from jail in April as a result of the lawsuit. However, he feigned ignorance, refusing to answer questions during the meeting and making fun of Meghan’s lawyers. Meghan’s legal team asked the judge to find Tory’s actions in contempt of court.
The Conservatives were later ordered to pay Meghan’s legal fees after the testimony went nowhere. The judge also ruled that any future testimony by Tory will be overseen by a magistrate. In September, Conservatives filed a protective order in the case. He asked the judge to limit his involvement in the case because of his own legal issues.
