Meek Mill lost his father to gun violence when he was five years old, but the tragedy ultimately became the driving force behind his subsequent success.
On Tuesday (March 12), Meek addressed the situation in a since-deleted post on Twitter/X, which seemed to send a message to critics about speaking ill of his late father. Won’t hurt him.
“My father died in a robbery in 1992… It made me want to be rich. This is homecoming. The person who killed my father was probably 60 years old… Talking about dead people doesn’t hurt me.”

Meek Mill may have spoken to Philadelphia indie artist Poundside Pop in his messages, as the two had exchanged back and forth on the social media app the day before.
The drama began when Pope sat down with fellow academicians on Monday (March 11) to discuss the matter, saying the Dream Chasers boss tried to sign Mick for $20,000 in exchange for After “all my published work” failed, he “banned” Mick from Philadelphia.
This prompted Meek Mill to publish a series of posts on his Instagram, which have since been deleted, accusing Poundside Pop of being a “snitch” and claiming he “reported Uzi to JAY-Z.”
Mick posted more on X/Twitter, accusing Poundside Pop’s father of being a snitch. “I’ll crush his son,” the rapper said.
As fans know, Mick also has issues with Academician – one that could become lucrative if the two accept an offer from Damon Feldman.
Damon Feldman, author of “16 Minute Man” and CEO of Official Celebrity Boxing, told TMZ earlier this month that he has made all the necessary preparations for the two to take the field, Including booking the venue for May 18 and offering the winner a $1 million bonus if they accepted his offer.
“DJ Akademiks, always starting to mess around – look, man, you gotta step up,” he said. “I have prepared a boxing training camp for you at Gonzalez Gym. Lei Quan [not the Wu-Tang Clan legend] This is where you will be trained. Meek Mill, who already has Monique Jackson as a coach. “
Feldman continued, “You’ve got to make this happen. May 18th in Atlanta. I’ve talked to the guys at King of Diamonds. They’re helping get the venue there. Step up. Celebrity Boxing’s purse is $100 Ten thousand U.S. dollars.”
The off-the-record presenter previously challenged Mick to a boxing match and said they could do it in public or private.
“[21] Savage can be set privately or publicly,” he told anchor Adin Ross. “We can get a price. I think he’s a bully, so let’s deal with it with our hands.”
