The latest episode of the Joe Budden Podcast dropped on the streaming service on Wednesday (December 11). In the episode, titled “Dimatapped,” the crew received an unexpected phone call from imprisoned rapper Max B.
“I feel righteous, man,” Porridge said at the 1:05:20 timestamp of the Pod below. “I’m done, man. It’s almost over. Take it one day at a time. We’re grinding. We’re good. Wave baby will be back soon.”
When asked if a release date has been set, Marquez responded: “We have a date set. I’m out November 9, 2025… I’m fine. Everything is fluid. Everything is on the way. We’re on it Making America has another wave.
“Normally, in my case, an*gga takes his time,” he added. “Turtle step. Not the boss, I am head-first.”
In June 2009, Max B was convicted of robbery and murder in connection with a robbery-turned-homicide that occurred in a hotel room in Fort Lee, New Jersey. In September of the same year, he was sentenced to 75 years in prison. In 2016, Max pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter as part of a new plea deal and was later resentenced to 20 years in prison by Bergen County Judge James Guida
Max continues to release new music. Songs from Prison include 2021’s Negro Spirituals project, 2020’s “Charley” and the 2020 release “Wave Pack.”
