Former WWE star wrestler Mark Henry has revealed that he tried to advise Hulk Hogan on a strategy before being booed by thousands of people in the aftermath of his recent string of alleged discriminatory actions.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Henry spoke about the intense boos Hogan received from nearly 18,000 fans in Inglewood during WWE Monday Night RAW: The New Day on Netflix. When asked if he was surprised by the audience’s reaction to Hogan, Henry admitted that he had suggested that Hogan take proactive steps to address his past controversial racist comments by visiting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) .
However, the wrestling legend apparently refused to do so. The news came to light when Henry began discussing Hogan’s legacy. influence.
“Any time you think of Mount Rushmore as a top ten in wrestling history, Hogan is always going to be in the top ten,” Henry admitted. “But now, you know, given the climate of society, his words and actions, and his lack of effort to address this issue, people are going to belittle it.”

Henry later revealed that he initially had no personal issues with Hogan but found it difficult to ignore the star’s actions and inactions after hearing the racist comments.
“I never had any problems with him until I heard all these things,” he said. “Even so, I still believe in giving second chances. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a problem solver. I don’t dwell on the negative. I don’t talk about the past. We are moving forward.
But according to Henry, Hogan has no interest in participating in his “fix it” mantra or making amends.
“He never wanted to pursue this issue,” he said. “So, you know, that’s what happens when you think it’s all going to go away. It doesn’t go away.
Although Hogan offered a path to reconciliation, Henry was disappointed by his reluctance. “I took the initiative and said, ‘Hey, let’s visit black colleges, law schools, and explain what’s going on,'” he said. “He didn’t want to do that.”
Hogan’s career has been rocked by multiple controversies in recent years, including a 2024 viral scandal involving accusations of racism during a promotion for a beverage brand. TikTok and other social media platforms have been rocked by a young black model who claims she was mysteriously fired days before her show ended after being hired to promote the product.
The model claimed she was relieved shortly after meeting Hogan and claimed she discovered another white model had been hired to perform the job. The scandal reignited criticism of Hogan’s past behavior and further soured his relationship with fans.
