Aaron Smith, aka Shwayze, also known as the King of Summer and Malibu’s Most Wanted, recently released his latest album, Shwaycation. Shwayze returns with his signature party beach vibes on this new summer anthem. Tracks “Tequila,” “Single for the Summer,” “I Pray” and “Mine” showcase his lyrical skills and smooth, soulful reggae harmonies. Songs such as “West Coast,” “Smoke Too Soon,” “Promises,” “Kick Back,” “Champagne Problems,” “Book a Flight” and “Party in the Hills” highlight his straightforward rap flow and catchy hooks ‘s chorus. The album follows his previous release Shway SZN.
This is Shwayze’s eighth album to date and his fifth solo album. He initially worked with Cisco on his first three projects before starting his own career. Contributors on the album include Bryce Vine, Ripe, Common Kings, Kes, J. Lauryn and Wiz Khalifa.
Shwayze first came to prominence as a duo in 2007 with White Star member Cisco Adler, releasing their first self-titled project. Their well-known classics like “Corona and Lime” and “Buzzin'” helped establish Shwayze in the underground hip-hop scene. From improvisation on stage to collaborations with Cisco, Shwayze has earned a reputation in the genre. With Shwayze, the party continues long after summer is over.
