MadeinTYO quietly spent the busiest year of 2024. That’s some serious work ethics. YOKOSUKA BOY is the latest version of this series and the shortest version in design. However, the brevity does not reflect a lack of ideas. The YOKOSUKA BOY EP is a collection of contemplative songs that imbue MadeinTYO with poetry about traveling the world and missing the ones you love.
“Fan Mail” details the messages MadeinTYO receives from fans. It also gave him a chance to evaluate his place in the rap world. What he accomplished and where he fell short. It’s a surprisingly candid song whose understated delivery makes it compelling. The rest of the songs on the EP follow this low-key template. The rhythm of “fragment levis” and “thinking to myself” is wistful and sweet. They feel both nostalgia and painful self-consciousness. MadeinTYO’s lyrics further deepen these conflicting feelings. This is an emotionally rich and musically rich album. Fans will love it. Those unfamiliar with MadeinTYO’s music will find a lot to like here if they decide to give it a try.

He’s been covering Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s battle on the fly, especially with the release of topics like “Family Matters” and “Meet the Grahams.” He also detailed a list of ongoing allegations and criminal charges against Diddy. Elias’ favorite artists are Andre 3000, MF Doom, pre-808s Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator. He likes L.A. hip-hop, but not L.A. sports teams. The first album he bought was Will Smith’s “Big Willie Style,” which he thinks still sounds great.
