McDon Don Don Don. The moment you hear this label, you already know what’s coming next. It’s Macdonald Face’s iconic warning shot, signaling to Queens and anyone else being tapped that he’s about to drop something heavy.

“Mac Don Don Don, you know it’s hot when you hear it” is MacDonthefifth’s trademark intro, and the Queens, New York, rapper took to his social media to let the world know he was about to start a new craze. It’s known throughout the streets of Hollis that when Mac hits a record, it’s going to be more exciting than a next-level instrumental produced by the best producers in the game.
Mac Don’s last single, “Ain’t Nothing You Can Do About it,” was produced by Brooklyn-based hitmaker DR Period, known for producing nearly the entirety of MOP’s 1994 debut album To the Death, as well as working with numerous East Coast hip-hop artists of the late 1990s, such as AZ, Onyx, Public Enemy, Shyheim, and Smoothe da Hustler.
Queens, New York has been a mecca for some of hip-hop’s most influential artists, such as RUN DMC, LL Cool J, Nas, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, Tribe Called Quest and Kool G Rap, among others.
MacDonthefifth “Praise” Official Video
In late November 2025, MacDonthefifth stepped into the bag and dropped his new inspirational single “Praise” produced by Chzech Venturio on RockBoy Records/Sony Orchard.
MacDonthefifth “praises” Spotify
It’s a new lane in Queens MC, but it doesn’t disappoint. The single has the internet buzzing, with listeners embracing the record and the spiritual energy of Mike Downsface. The official video by Lot Pacasso perfectly complements the record.
I’ve read reviews on various platforms saying that Mac Don has been a trendsetter in the fashion and hip-hop world ever since he dropped his first single on FUBU/Universal. MacDonthefifth was the Frank Sinatra of hip-hop. “He would do things his own way,” which was a success for Mac.
DRTYBSMNT radio DJ Sincere released the single on his Iheart-affiliated channel last week. “That’s what the industry needs right now, a different perspective. It’s a positive, uplifting song compared to all the dark music that’s been out there. That’s why it resonates with people, there’s nothing like it on the radio” says DJ Sincere.
