Lupe Fiasco returns to the acclaimed project after releasing a full concept album called Samurai.
Samurai DX acts as a luxury extension to the album and features five tracks. Three of them are mixes, while the other two are fans’ cherries. In fact, one of these tracks is “SOS”, which was produced by Lupe Fiasco himself.
Lupe worked silently, letting the music talk to himself. Even better, Lupe has a rapper in Frenzy Online, and Mickey Factz sparked a debate on the Lupe-Kendrick comparison. Many in the comments agree with Mickey, claiming that Lupe can technically beat Kendrick.
But, of course, Kendrick’s run (that deserves credit), a part of Kendrick’s fans will soon refute the discussion.
No matter where you may rank Lupe in your books, the new project undoubtedly reminds Lupe of his lyrical abilities as a rapper. To be silent and in the conversation, it is indeed the brand of hip-hop’s own warriors. Check out the items below!
