Ludacris resurrected the giant arm from his “Get Back” music video to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the Atlanta Braves’ game against the Colorado Rockies.
Wednesday night (September 4th) is Ludacris Night at Truist Park. The Braves celebrated the Grammy Award-winning rapper as a tribute to a local Atlanta music legend.
The tribute kicked off at the Atlanta Battery Food Truck, serving Southern soul food inspired by the menu at Ludacris’ Chicken & Beer restaurant. Luda’s DJ DJ Inknown was on deck playing his hits.
Meanwhile, the first 15,000 fans to enter Truist Park received an exclusive Ludacris bobblehead to commemorate the occasion.
When Ludacris throws out the first pitch, he rocks the cartoonishly large arms and sneakers from the Spike Jonze-directed film.

However, younger fans unfamiliar with his history of creating iconic rap music videos were confused by the oversized appendage. While Ludacris is a legend in the Atlanta rap scene, many younger fans only know him for his performances, especially in the Fast and Furious movies, and are no strangers to the two-year-old music video and huge The arm was unfamiliar.

The comments section of Luda’s Instagram post was divided between fans quoting the lyrics to “Get Back” and others who had no idea what was going on. Some even joked that Ludacris recently tasted glacier water and grew giant arms.
“I’m confused,” one person pointed out, while another questioned, “What’s wrong with his arm.” A third added, “I think a lot of people in the comments haven’t seen Lou before Fast & Furious. ”
Still, another fan clarified: “People don’t understand that Luda was in the rap game in the early 2000s when it came to music and video shoots.”
