Logic shows that he is no longer able to speak to his estranged mother.
During the interview Adam Friedland performsthe rapper reveals his complex relationship with his parents.
During the chat, logic admitted that he hadn’t seen his mother in a decade, and he said, “The last time I talked to my mother was on my 21st birthday. I haven’t seen her in a few years. The thing about my mother is that she’s just a psychopath.”
He added: “I absolutely gave up on any anger or any of my anger. But I’ve been a few years since I was about 17, 18.
Back in 2012, Logic used the song “Dear God” to claim that his mother tried to kill him when he was nine years old.
He said: “What happened to me when I was nine, mom almost murdered me? / Don’t think I forgot that shit, it still made me / Her bare hands tightly around my throat I can’t breathe ‘I can’t breathe, ‘I can’t breathe, mom / You don’t want me, mom, mom? Don’t you love me? Mom?
Logic also has a complicated relationship with his father, who interviewed him on his podcast last year.
“There are a portion of me who are developing and developing spiritually, but there is still a little boy who is still waiting for his father,” Logic said of his father’s past rift addiction.
He added: “I’m waiting every weekend and you’ve never shown up. You always say you’ll […] I looked at my son and I thought how important my son was to me. I am my commentator today because you are not.
“I want you to know that it really hurts [and] I just want to ask: What is it like to be a man who uses a material that will make you wait for that little boy forever? Is it worth it? ”
