Lizzo urged the singer to listen to the jury’s requests on the 2023 European Tour after her former wardrobe assistant urged the judge to allow the jury to hear sexual harassment, racial discrimination and unsafe working conditions.
In a court filing filed in Los Angeles this week, Asha Daniels accused Lizzo’s travel company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc., and two managers who developed hostile work environments where penis-shaped candies are passed on, sexual jokes are ongoing, and images of male genitals are displayed in shared spaces.
Daniels, a black man, said she was also racially harassed by supervisor Amanda Nomura, allegedly mocking black women, denying basic supplies for black performers, and using racially filled gestures and language.
Daniels said she reported the behavior but did nothing.
The archives state that Daniels was injured at work and asked for simple accommodation, including the ability to sit down at work, visits to doctors and lower beds.
She claimed management ignored her request. Daniels was suddenly fired in March 2023 after she said she was worried about her treatment and sought medical help.

Daniels said the reason for her termination had been diverted several times. A manager claimed she resigned. Another said: “It’s just not resolved.” She believes that the inconsistent opinions point to retaliation for the loud voice.
In the document, Daniels describes work days with little rest from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. She said she could be fired if she asked for time to rest. The lawsuit also includes claims under Labor Law and Labour Law related to Labour Law.
Daniels did not require a specific financial reward at this stage. Instead, she asked the judge to reject Lizzo’s motion for summary judgment and let the jury decide whether her rights were violated.
She also requested permission to correct the documentary errors regarding her legal basis for retaliation claims in her complaint.
Lizzo and her team denied any misconduct. The judge is expected to decide whether the case will take place later this year.
