Lizzo shocked her followers over the weekend, revealing a distinctly slim character in a compelling Instagram video, who sprayed the image on her special album cover “bye b ## # The word #”.
The Grammy Award-winning artist has subtitled the post “The End of the Times”, which marked a major shift that sparked a wave of emotions among her fan base.
Lizzo has long been a champion of physical positivity and has been open to her healthy development. She attributes weight loss to a calorie deficit, a high-protein diet and a disciplined system for strength training.
Lizzo firmly believes that she uses GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, and her coach supports her progress is the result of a huge effort.
Her dietary transformation also plays a crucial role. After years of vegetarianism, Lizzo transformed into a diet plan that includes animal-based protein, which she said improved her energy levels, psychological clarity, and weight loss ability.
In January 2025, she revealed that she had reached her goal, reducing her BMI by 10.5 points and reducing body fat by 16% in two years. Lizzo, known for her unapologetic embrace, admits that her perception of body image has changed.
She had previously expressed frustration with the discourse of positive movement in the human body, how her words were “commercialized” and “applicable”, especially for white influential people.
Now, she focuses on “body neutrality,” a philosophy that encourages people to see their body forms as part of their identity without being fixed on appearance.

Lizzo’s journey has been at the heart of her creative business, both promoting inclusion, from her reality show Lizzo’s “Big Grrrrls” to her shaper brand Yitty.
But as the conversation about her body gets getting tired, her latest transformation seems to convey a clear message:
The reactions online are direct and profound.
“It made me a little sad. That version of lizzo has certainly brought me a lot of joy and inspiration. Looking forward to seeing you come,” wrote one commenter. Another added: “Your age is something that motivates women to love themselves.”
Others supported her journey with all their might and wrote, “Look at you! Standing in that healthy and beautiful pride. Your soul also looks lighter.”
