Kendrick Lamar fans continue to decipher his previously released albums in search of Drake’s comments, and it turns out Beyoncé has been dragged into the saga.

Although Beyoncé released “RENAISSANCE” in July 2022, the album cut “U.S.A. America Has A Problem has regained its popularity.

To be clear, this is not the original version of the song released with the album, but a remix that was released as a single in May 2023 and features Kendrick’s verse. Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That” is widely considered to be the rock that broke the glass barrier that had lain dormant for years on Drake and Kendrick’s rap beef. Fans now believe the tone of the West Coast host’s verse about “something wrong with America” provided a challenging counter-angle to how deep the feud actually goes.

This perceived diss even had multiple layers to it, with Kendrick initially appearing to warn Drake and the music industry that he was ready and willing to commit lyrical and symbolic slaying if provoked.

“Geeky, picky love,” he raps. “Well they chose violence/prevail, please don’t be pretentious, I’m a businessman doing the following.”

These subliminal attacks seem to become more direct and blatant in their use, illustrating how easily Kendrick can deliver the coup de grace on real rap beefs with Drake — such as “Not Like Us.”

“To be honest, I lie in my rap songs,” he continued. “Cause I always fail to mention I’m gonna fight Homiye/His career isn’t without life insurance/Hopefully his day one fans will know some facts about him.”

When the album started trending again on social media, users almost immediately began speculating whether Beyoncé knew Kendrick dissed Drake in the song.

“There’s something wrong with Beyoncé having Kendrick Lamar call out Drake TF on ‘American Remix,’” one user on Twitter (X) wrote, while another said, “All these complaints All because Beyoncé hates Drake. She gave Kendrick a hit.

Of course, this isn’t the only instance of fans looking back at Kendrick’s previously released songs and reclassifying them as possible Drake diss records and/or subliminal messages.

In fact, many users theorized that Kendrick spent the first half of his Juneteenth concert purely to diss Drake. Starting his set off with “euphoria” and then following it up with “DNA” and “Element” showed that at least some, if not all, of the two aforementioned records were dedicated to showcasing Kendrick’s hatred of Drake.
