Lil Yachty is expressing displeasure with former artist Karrahbooo’s recent claims that he used a writing team on his 2023 alternative rock album Let’s Start Here.
Karrahbooo accuses Boat of using writers, he responds
Karrahbooo was a guest on DDG’s No Ordinary podcast on Tuesday (October 22) to discuss her recent feud with Boat and the future of her career. During the sit-down, Cara also accused her former label boss of using writers.
“You know what’s crazy? Boat used a writer from Let’s Start Here,” she tells DDG and his co-stars around the 35:50 timestamp in the video below. “He had a whole team of writers. Like, what are you doing, man?”
She went on to claim that during her tenure at Boat’s Concrete Boys label, she and Yachty clashed over not wanting to use writers.
Lil Yachty heard the comment on DJ Akademiks’ Instagram page on Wednesday (October 23) and responded in the comments section. “No one has ever written to me just for the record,” he wrote below.

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo have hostile disagreements
Back in July, Lil Yachty announced that Karrahbooo was parting ways with his Concrete Boys label. The split appeared to be amicable at the time. However, in August, Cara claimed she was bullied during her time at the label. Boat fired back, accusing her of disrespecting him and others during her tenure at the label. He also shared a reference track from her On the Radar freestyle to prove he was behind some of her lyrics. Karab later claimed Yachti lied and said she didn’t write her own rhymes.
