Lil Wayne’s long-time partner Denise Bidot said the rapper drove her and her daughter out of their common home on Mother’s Day while she was still recovering from surgery and claimed he had physically attacked her in a relationship.
Bidot, a model who recently debuted on the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, went to social media on Sunday to detail what she called a painful and humiliating breakup.
“Wayne kicked me and my daughter on Mother’s Day today. I just recovered from surgery. I made a makeover from a complete mom for 5 weeks. I couldn’t even lift the box,” she said in a video posted online. “But this guy has his assistant and people coming to help us today.”
She also claimed that the Grammy-winning hip-hop artist ended their relationship by texting the same day. She added: “I like breaking up with me via text on Mother’s Day.”
The couple began dating publicly in June 2020 after Lil Wayne broke up with model La’tecia Thomas.
Although rumors surfaced in early 2021, speculation was likely to be involved after Lil Wayne tweeted “We’re Starting Forever”.
Later he clarified that they were not married.
Bidot, a member of Sports Illustrated’s 2025 rookie class, said she was going to New York this week for news events related to the magazine when the incident happened.
“I went to New York this week for all the sports pictorials,” she said. In the same video, she accused the rapper of more than just emotional abuse.
“Like these men are really taking advantage of it. It’s not just emotional abuse. It’s like this guy actually reached out to me. I took it.” “You know the crazy thing is that they always say we’re stupid for love. I think it’s like a mistake.”
Instead of specifying dates or more details about so-called physical abuse, Bidot provides legal advice to the audience.
“Just like you all make the advice of lawyers, please send them,” she said.
Lil Wayne has not yet publicly responded to the allegations.
