Lil Wayne sued by chef over family emergency, claims wrongful termination
As previously reported, Lil Wayne was sued by his former personal chef in December 2022. Morghan Medlock claims in her lawsuit that she was wrongfully fired because she allegedly left her scheduled shift to be with her injured 10-year-old son. Is hospitalised.
TMZ reports that while Medlock was traveling to Las Vegas with Weezy over Memorial Day weekend, she received news that her 10-year-old son was hospitalized in Los Angeles with a head injury. As Medlock tried to speed her return to her son, she claimed Wayne was smoking on the plane, causing the flight to be delayed.
Medlock then decided to take another flight rather than wait nearby. Although she claimed to have informed Wayne’s assistants of her decision, his team kept asking her if she was leaving the company. Although Medlock claimed she didn’t tell them, they eventually told her she had been fired. According to Medlock’s lawsuit, she eventually received a message directly from Turnage that reportedly read: “Tell Chef Morgan this isn’t working.”
Medlock claims in the lawsuit that her wrongful termination violated California law and seeks at least $500,000 in damages.
