Lil Wayne once again expressed his displeasure at being left out of the Super Bowl LIX halftime show last night in his hometown of New Orleans.
He told the audience at the Lil Weezyana Fest music festival on Saturday, where he headlined, that he had dreamed of performing in the Super Bowl halftime show, but “it was taken away from me” this year. Watch the clip below.

In September, the NFL announced that Kendrick Lamar had been selected to headline halftime of Super Bowl LIX. The decision comes months after Lamar and Drake’s long-standing conflict reached a breaking point, leading to multiple feuds. Wayne had earlier said he was “hurt” by the NFL and Roc Nation’s decision.
“I don’t think there’s anything better than that place, that stage, that platform in my city. So it hurts, it hurts… it breaks my heart,” he said.
