Lil Rod has made his stance clear: The music producer isn’t giving up on his legal battle against Diddy.
Lil Rod told Mirror America at the ASCAP Brunch in Los Angeles on January 30: “The battle continues. The charges against him are still pending and we do plan on retracting some of them.”
In February 2024, Lil Rod filed a $30 million lawsuit against Diddy. He accused the hip-hop mogul of sexual harassment, drug use and sexual assault during the production of his “Love” album in 2022 and 2023.
In March 2025, a federal judge dismissed five of Lil Rod’s nine charges. But key accusations remain. Sexual assault charges against Diddy and his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, can continue to be heard. Trafficking and premises liability charges also remain active.
“This case is currently under investigation,” Lil Lord explained. “You can Google it.”
Didi served four years in federal prison. He was convicted in July 2025 of two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution. A jury acquitted him of the more serious sex trafficking charge.
Lil Rod calls Diddy’s jail time overdue.
“This is a start,” he said. “He’s escaped from prison many times over the decades and this is the first time he’s actually sat in prison and responded to anything.”
The producers believe people should be happy with the results so far. “So I think we should at least be happy with that for now,” Lil Rod added.
Lil Rod said his connection to Diddy was very professional. During the alleged incident, he was working as a videographer and producer on the Love album.
The original lawsuit named multiple defendants. Justin Combs, Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and former Motown CEO Ethiopian Habtemariam are also included.
Judge J. Paul Oetken later removed some defendants from the case.
Lil Rod has moved beyond his legal battle to focus on new projects. “My book is about to be officially released in the first quarter,” he revealed at the Grammy event.
The producers also announced several upcoming releases. “My album is also a documentary and I’m currently working on some film scores,” Jones said.
He promises fans will see substantial results soon. “You’re going to see a lot of stuff in the next three to six months,” Lil Rod confirmed.
