Lil Durk seems unhappy with the current state of hip-hop and expressed his thoughts in a recent article.
Dulchio shared a short and succinct statement on X on Thursday (September 5).
“Hip-hop is not what it used to be…” he wrote.
However, responses seemed divided, with some blaming the Chicago native for being part of the problem and others calling for him to drop new music to make things better.

One reply claimed that Lil Durk was part of the problem, noting that his upcoming song with Drake was recently previewed by white pro-Trump streamer Adin Ross.
In a brief clip of the song previewed on Thursday (September 5), Drizzy sings a few bars that might surprise fans.
On the 808 Mafia production, he raps: “Stop Wockhardt/What seal do I pop now?/What seal do I pop now?/What seal do I pop now?/You know the bill’s gone, I can’t get it Any start now.
Wockhardt is a pharmaceutical giant that makes codeine, which is often mixed with soft drinks like Sprite to create the recreational drug Lean, also known as Purple Drink.
It’s unclear whether Lil Durk also raps about drugs on the track, but he has been open about his issues with Lean in the past.
Earlier this year, Smoak revealed in an interview with TMZ that he went to rehab for drug addiction issues: “It helped me a lot. I hope people don’t run away from it or shy away from it. It’s hard at first, but it actually It’s not that hard because I really know what I want and I know what’s holding me back.
“I wanted to be better. I wanted to be a better person, a better father, a better leader. I thought more clearly that my main goals were to be at peace, to be with my family, to stay away from the bullshit.
The “My Life” rapper also opened up about his mental state before going to rehab: “I was quick, making excuses. I let the drugs take over me – like codeine, Xanax. But that doesn’t make me I.
“I just see myself on the right track and trying to make a difference in a lot of people’s lives. This is for people young or old who want to do better, feel embarrassed about themselves, or like people talking about them.
Duke also said he hopes to help other recovering addicts by establishing a rehabilitation facility in his hometown of Chicago.
While it’s unclear if “Discontinuing Wockhardt” will be officially released, it marks the third collaboration between Drake and Lil Durk, following the six-platinum hits “Laugh Now Cry Later” and “In the Bible.”
