Lil Baby and Future are about to release a new joint mixtape, and Young Thug wants to be a part of it now that he’s out of prison.
Lil Baby reveals upcoming project
Spotify’s RapCaviar debuted a new episode of A Day in the Life featuring the Quality Control rapper on Wednesday (January 8). In a chapter of the mini-documentary, the Atlanta rhymer reveals his plans for 2025 following the release of his WHAM album last week.
“The WHAM album, the Dominique album, the Can’t Be F**ked Wit tape, like a compilation album,” Baby lists at the eight-minute mark of the video below. “Me and Mirai are working on a joint tape. We almost finished the joint tape. Now. [Young Thug] Going home, he wasn’t going to do that. He likes ‘she-it’.
Baby said he came up with the idea for the collaborative project while Thug was still in prison fighting a YSL RICO case.
“It was actually Thug’s idea,” Baby added. “When he was in jail, he said, ‘Call Pluto, I want you to make a tape together.’ It was a total thug idea… He almost named the tape and everything, and now When he came out, he was like, “Shh, I’m on tape. “So, we’re probably going to do something big with that.
Baby went on to say that he and Thug have written 10 songs since Thug was released from prison last Halloween.
Lil Baby’s upcoming album Dominique is expected to be released next month. During an interview on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast last month, Baby talked about his two new solo albums.
“I still have some songs on WHAM that I’m going to use for Dominique,” he told Boat. “I know my fan base really wants some of their songs. But I feel like WHAM is more like me on some young n*gga sh*t… Dominique is more like the serious version of me.”
