According to West Coast rapper Lefty Gunplay, Kendrick Lamar isn’t done yet, and despite his recent surprise LP, he still has more metaphorical rap bullets to fire.
His “tv off” collaborator says that after releasing his GNX album, which attracted attention from Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and Drake, Lamar is preparing a deluxe version of the project. Lefty revealed the news during a recent appearance on The Bootleg Kev podcast to discuss his relationship with Lamar.
“I know he’s coming out with a deluxe version,” Lefty said. “So I don’t know what he’s doing. He’s very [secretive]But when you play with him in person, he’s a cool guy.

Although the Lefty bombshell lacks specific details about the deluxe edition, based on the clues Lamar inserted into the unexpected launch of the GNX, fans will likely get their hands on the project sooner rather than later.
Among the many theories circulating on social media, one Twitter user speculated that a clip Lamar posted on his Finsta account ahead of the album’s release could be a version of the reportedly upcoming deluxe album.

Additionally, Lamar dropped multiple hints in the visual for his hit song “Squabble Up,” which pays homage to artists like Ice-T, The Roots, and more. More specifically, the music video’s scene of a man dressed as Isaac Hayes based on his Black Jesus album cover also sparked speculation, considering the record was a double released on disc. Not to mention that in one of his bars on the track, Lamar rapped, “Like a deluxe double.”
