LeBron James recently took to Twitter to announce a social media hiatus after speaking out against the continued negativity in the sports media world. Well, that’s not what he said directly, but he did retweet a message from Rick Kleiman on the topic and later let fans know that he was temporarily off the grid. “With that being said, I’m cheering you on! Take a break from social media. Y’all take care,” the NBA superstar shared. This prompted a number of reactions that unfoundedly linked him to the bragging scandal, many of which curiously came from more conservative individuals. We don’t know of other conditions that might cause this specific reaction, but it’s a strange phenomenon.
Of course, LeBron James may not be worried about any of these things as he has other pressing extracurricular matters to attend to off the court. Regardless of his status, they have led to some people hating him, such as filing lawsuits against him and Netflix for alleged copyright infringement. Many people lashed out at the alleged move, which led to more hilarious incidents, but that’s the nature of online speech.

But LeBron James’ exit from social media means we no longer have to hear about his strange dreams, which is certainly a plus for many fans. “Just woke up from a dream playing for Coach K at Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium!” he tweeted the other day. “It was crazy out there. Told Coach K it was an honor to suit him up and he told me the same thing. He’s such a legend! And then… it turned straight into a concert. Meanwhile, another possible reason for the social media outage is the recent mockery of how much LeBron James spends on his body. But we don’t know why conservatives used the “Diddy” narrative to attack him during this social media blackout. We know they’re annoyed by Kamala Harris’ endorsement, but still…
