Damon Dash doesn’t seem to be free of the indictments against him from all sides.
Plaintiffs Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures filed a lawsuit against the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder in 2019 in an effort to have his engagement ring auctioned off, according to court documents obtained by AllHipHop.
Their attorney, Christopher L. Brown, wrote a letter to the Honorable Robert Lehrbuger of the Southern District of New York stating that the jewelry should be auctioned to resolve Dash’s dispute with the plaintiffs of debt. The ring was given to Dash by his fiancée Raquel Horn.
“This office is acting as counsel for the plaintiffs in this case,” the filing reads. “Plaintiffs Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures LLC (d/b/a Muddy Water Pictures, Inc.). I am writing to add information regarding the jewelry owned by Damon Dash. records for a hearing on January 22, 2025.

The AllHipHop article Brown mentioned included an interview with Dash, who said of the ring, “I love it. It’s beautiful.” He added, “She has accepted my engagement. We proposed to each other multiple times, but It’s all about my taxes. We’re getting there. We have a baby and we love each other very much.
The plaintiff had previously targeted Dash’s jewelry. On January 1, they submitted a request to Lehrburger asking a judge to order an auction of his collection. Jewelry includes: one gold necklace, one gold “Dame” necklace, one gold “Dusko” necklace, one gold watch, three gold bracelets, two Roc-A-Fella necklaces, a set of diamond earrings and a set of gold earrings.
The money will be used to settle two outstanding judgments totaling $823,284.71. The plaintiffs also seek an order requiring Dash to provide corporate ownership documents related to its businesses (Lebanon Improvements LLC, Ocean East Improvements LLC, 1996 Songs LLC and Blackroc LLC) and deliver them to the U.S. Marshals Service.
