KSOO was convicted of first-degree murder of rapper Lil Buck in 2020 after a seven-day trial.
Jury convicted of murder
Leroy Whitaker (aka Atk Scotty) who found out KSOO’s code fend pie was guilty of murder and burglary in the same case Thursday afternoon (July 31), and the jury also convicted rapper Ksoo, born in Hakeem Robinson, first-degree murder. A jury of seven white women and five white men considered for four hours.
After reading the verdict, KSOO looked shocked. The video taken from the court below shows him covering his mouth with his hands, then taking off his glasses and shaking his head in disbelief.
The trial of rap hatred becomes deadly
Ksoo, Atk Scotty, Abdul Robinson Jr. and Dominique Barner are charged with murdering 2020 killing of rapper Charles McCormick Jr. (aka Lil Buck). McCormick was shot dead after being ambushed at Jacksonville Mall in Florida. Prosecutors say McCormick’s death was atop a gang hatred in revenge on McCormick’s diss song Willie Addison, who had been killed in a driving shooting, released by McCormick.
During the trial, Dominique Barner testified as part of the plea agreement. Ksoo’s father also stood up. After the fact, he was charged with murder and two suspects were in a car after the shooting. He testified against KSOO during the trial, named Ksoo the shooter, and explained that he didn’t know about the murder until afterwards.
Prosecutors also brought up a Yungeen Ace song during the trial, titled “KSO Homicide”, and an Instagram post where Ksoo appeared to have laughed at McCormick’s death shortly after McCormick was killed.
