KSI immediately celebrated Jake Paul’s shocking defeat to Anthony Joshua, taking to social media to celebrate the victory, highlighting their years of boxing rivalry.
The British YouTuber-turned-rapper posted a series of tweets after Paul was knocked out in the sixth round in Miami on Friday night. Paul broke his jaw in two places during the battle and now faces seven days of eating through a straw.
“Congratulations AJ,” KSI wrote on the X, sharing a photo of Joshua’s crushing right hand to end Paul’s night.
Minutes later, he posted another post: “Christmas came early,” along with a photo of Paul looking defeated.

The celebration stems from a feud that dates back to 2018, when KSI named Jake Paul for the first time after defeating Joe Weller. Their rivalry had been brewing for seven years, with multiple attempts to arrange a match ending in failure.
In June 2024, KSI made a “final offer” to Paul for a May 2025 fight at 185 pounds, but negotiations broke down over a weight disagreement of just 2.5 pounds.
AllHipHop previously reported on KSI’s continued criticism of Paul, with the British artist stating that he was “still ready to kick Jake Paul’s ass” even while promoting his 2020 debut album with Rick Ross and Offset.
The conflict becomes more complicated as KSI’s relationship with Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul, deepens.
After two initial encounters with Logan Paul in 2018 and 2019, KSI and Logan unexpectedly became business partners, co-founding the hugely successful Prime Hydration beverage company.
Their partnership has reportedly generated more than $250 million in retail sales, turning former enemies into millionaire collaborators.
The business relationship with Logan created an awkward situation for KSI’s ongoing feud with Jake. As KSI told TalkSport in 2023, the rivalry with Jake Paul made things “awkward” given his friendship and business partnership with Logan.
KSI has always positioned themselves as “the guy” to end Jake Paul’s boxing career. In March 2024, he called Paul’s announcement of a fight with Mike Tyson “really sad,” suggesting he was still dismissive of his opponent’s boxing choices.
Jake Paul’s loss to Joshua marked a major setback in his boxing career. The 28-year-old has been racking up wins over former MMA fighters and aging boxers, but Joshua’s knockout exposed the gap between Paul and the elite heavyweights.
The elimination also added a new chapter to the “Drake Curse” saga, with the rapper betting $200,000 on Paul to win.
With Paul now facing weeks of recovery and surgery, KSI’s window to finally secure their long-awaited match may be closing. KSI has since branched out from boxing into business and served as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, while his music career continues to grow.
