Red Bull Records Kofi prepares the world for Pettyboy’s hit single “Say I Won’t.” It’s a slow R&B tune that asks his partner not to leave him because “there are a few girls waiting for me right now.” Centered around 11 tracks, the single brings new sensations to audiences around the world. “‘Pettyboy’ is my comeback album,” Red Bull said in a hopeful performance. “All the things I should have done in my last relationship but didn’t. I kept silent and this is what I should have said.
Red Bull is famous for producing chart-topping hits like Blxst, Joony and Late August 08. The addition of Kofi takes the brand to another level and begins to expand internationally in search of the next big star.
Kofi is a Ghanaian producer, singer-songwriter and rapper who fuses R&B, hip-hop and Afrobeat music. Originally from Toronto and a fan of artists like Drake, he now lives in Port-Sète, France, where he plays professional volleyball. He balances music and sports and continues to prove doubters wrong. Pettyboy is a concept album that explores the stages of toxic relationships through Coffey’s savage alter ego. His lyrics range from “Don’t ask me to be romantic, that’s hopeless” to “Girl, I promise I’ll change.” Inspired by Toronto’s chilly yet beautiful vibe, Kofi collaborated with local producers like SLMN and King Fisher.
