Kodak Black Admits to Overuse of Drugs After Revealing Fake Percocet Series in ‘Gremlins’ Isn’t Real
On Friday (June 28), footage from a recent Kodak Black concert surfaced online. In the clip, the South Florida rhymer admits to a particularly popular line from his 2022 platinum-certified hit “Super Gremlin,” “I know Perc is fake, but I still ate it.” , not based on facts. After expressing regret for publishing lyrics about eating fake Percocet, he also revealed that at one point, his abuse of prescription narcotics went beyond the point of excess.
“It’s sad, though, man, ’cause it’s like, that damn…bar comes to mind real quick,” Jacques explains in the video below about the line he spat in the hit song. “I was like, ‘Damn, I don’t want to say this shit, but I know this motherfucker is going to get in there.’ But we’re not going to play like that, man.
Kodak then detailed to the audience how many pills he had taken during the peak period of Percocet use. In the process, he admitted that he might not have told his story if the drugs he was taking were actually counterfeit. “When I’m on my stage, I chew about a hundred Percs a day, man. If I hang out with this fake shit, man, I’m gonna die. I’m explaining myself right now and I don’t want you guys to hear this , accept this, and feel like it’s okay to do these things.
