Kim Kardashian has revealed her four children haven’t heard from Kanye West in months. She continues to raise them on her own while navigating a tense co-parenting dynamic.
In a conversation with Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper, the SKIMS founder talked about the emotional toll that comes with managing full-time parenting while trying to maintain a connection between her children (North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5) and their dad.
“It’s not easy,” Kardashian said. “I mean, I’m raising my kids full-time. They live with me. I welcome a good, healthy relationship with my kids and their dad. He knows that. I’m always pushing for that, but when the time comes to do that, I’m also going to protect them, and things will happen in stages.”
When asked how often West touches the kids, Kardashian didn’t sugarcoat it.
“Every time he called them to ask. We probably hadn’t heard from him in months,” she said.
Kardashian also addressed public speculation that she was blocking West from seeing her children, pushing back on the claims.
“There were a lot of times where I just wanted to show all these texts and be like, what are you talking about?” she said. “I would always let them meet their father… I sent them to Saudi Arabia, to Italy, to Japan, I never denied that.”
She also reflected on her relationship with her late father, Robert Kardashian, and how it impacted the way she raises her children together.
“I have the best memories and the best relationship with my dad,” she said. “So I just welcome healthy relationships, but it’s not easy.”
The former couple finalized their divorce in 2022 and entered into a custody agreement that included joint legal and physical custody. However, West is required to pay $200,000 per month in child support.
Earlier this year, West added to the ongoing tension between the two when he claimed on social media that he had not seen their son, Saint. However, Kardashian’s recent comments show that she has repeatedly struggled to keep the lines of communication open.
