Kim Kardashian reached breaking point just days before taking her California bar exam, revealing on her reality show that the physical pain and emotional strain nearly derailed her.
The 45-year-old entrepreneur and aspiring lawyer broke down in tears on the latest episode of “Kardashians” with just nine days until her exam. “I’m definitely going to cry because it’s so fucking exhausting,” she said on camera. “I didn’t know it was going to be so emotional. I didn’t know how I was going to get more information into my brain.”
Kardashian spent six years pursuing her legal ambitions and admitted she was shocked at how overwhelmed she was. “Everyone has a breakdown before they even get into the bar,” she said. “I just know it’s not me because I’m not that person, but I get it. It’s a lot. Now I really, really get it.”
Physical problems added to her stress. She said her back had become deformed, making it difficult for her to walk or sit comfortably. “I gave it my all, and every time I thought I’d taken another step, something would pull me back,” she said. “With all these f###### obstacles, I’m not a pity party type girl, but last night, I was like, why is this happening?”
One of the show’s producers commented that they had never seen Kardashian so desperate for something. She agreed, explaining that if she failed, she might not be able to try again for several years. “After a few years I ran out of time, and then I grew up, and then my brain size was different,” she said.
Kardashian took the test in July but later revealed in November that she failed. Still, she remained steadfast.
“Six years into my legal journey and I’m still giving it my all until I pass the bar,” she wrote on Instagram. “Failure isn’t failure, it’s fuel. I’m so close to passing, which only motivates me more. Let’s go!”
According to the California Bar Association, the bar exam is one of the toughest in the country, with passing rates hovering around 50%. Kardashian previously passed the baby bar exam in 2021, which is a must for those who study law through an apprenticeship.
