Kid Cudi claims Pusha T was his only “real” friend when he signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music.
Cudi wrote on X (formerly Twitter), explaining how much he respects the Clipse rapper: “Push has been my closest friend since day one. He embraced me from the jump and Always have my back.
“When I was in GOOD Music, he was like the only person I had a real relationship with. That’s my brother and I love him forever. We’ll definitely continue to cool everyone down,” he said of his ” Rock,” added the collaborator.
The revelation may come as a surprise given Cudi’s previously close relationship with brand founder and frequent collaborator Kanye.
Push has been my closest friend since day one. When I’m listening to GOOD music, he’s like the only person I have a real relationship with. That’s my brother and I will always love him. We will definitely continue to dissipate heat for you 😉 https://t.co/olZq4VbxXk

Earlier this year, the Cleveland native revealed in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that Ye had privately apologized for previous attacks on him, paving the way for their friendship to resume.
“The reason we calmed down again is he apologized to me. And it was sincere. I was like, ‘Wow, Kanye didn’t apologize to anybody, he didn’t say sorry to anybody,'” he said.
“That’s my brother, man. I know he loves me. There’s no one like Kanye and Cudi. We love that duo that everyone loves to see.
He continued: “I know there’s a good person in his soul because I’ve seen it. You don’t give up on people. He’s learning, he’s growing. He knows he’s made some mistakes.
“That’s the beauty of it. The beauty of it is that he knows he’s been on a painful journey, and he knows he’s said some things that, in many areas, in many spaces, with some people, he might not be able to Come to my senses, but we grew. I prayed for him.
Kid Cudi also seemed to have a positive relationship with GOOD Music signee Big Sean before the two feuded over Jhené Aiko, who was previously married to Cudi’s close friend and collaborator Dot Da Genius.
Cudi and Sean had appeared on several songs together before the altercation, and the Detroit emcee later lamented their feud in his 2016 song “No More Interviews.”
“Stuna and Wayne, Cudi and Ye/What happened to the way we were a family?/When I put you and Nas on that song together, you told me you were forever grateful/And we’re brothers, so in It breaks my heart to find out online that you and I don’t fuck with each other/Had a period of miscommunication that could have been fixed with a five minute conversation, I’m still praying for you,” Sean raps.
