Kendrick Lamar has the best year ever, with only three months. One night’s Grammy Awards won. Super Bowl halftime performance. The first album and the first song of three weeks, ranked first. The record that beat Michael Jackson almost matched another one. The West Coast rapper will undoubtedly achieve more before the summer hits, but even for him, even a new comedy movie, there is one that has never been seen before.
This summer, K-Dot will see his creative talent play on the big screen in a live-action comedy, with him, PGLANG co-founders Dave Free and South Park Cocreators Trey Parker and Matt Stone all collaborating. Yes, the guys who brought us Cartman and the “Kanye Likes Fishtic” plot are playing a movie with the biggest rapper on earth now. Kendrick and Free are producing the project through their company PGLANG, while Parker and Stone will produce it through their media and entertainment business, Enterprise Enterprise Park County. The words about the inner work of this work first appeared in 2022.
The feature has not yet been titled, focusing on a young black man who interned as a slave repeater in the History Museum. To his shock and surprise, he learned that his white girlfriend’s ancestors had his ancestors. Although K-Dot is a merger on Flick, it has not been confirmed that he is also playing a role. Can MC become the face of movies? According to Matt Stone, Kendrick and Dave Free Free were involved in the picture.
“We are doing movies with Kendrick, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free and their company, and we are working on it, hoping it’s fun across Jurassic Park on July 4,” Stone said in a conversation with Bloomberg last October. He confirmed it would be fun.
While this doesn’t answer the urgent question of whether Pulitzer Prize-winning artists will be ahead, it’s expected that storytelling will be fun. Paramount Pictures CEO Brian Robbins ensures that the spark will fly after the film debuts. He said on Cinemacon last April: “This script is one of the most interesting and original scripts we’ve ever read, and that’ll definitely make some fireworks. Thanks to writer and producer Vernon Chatman, who wrote the film for that. Rubbins confirmed that the film’s work began last summer.
The live comedy will arrive on July 4 and will be distributed through Paramount Pictures. Kendrick will be held in Frankfurt, Germany with SZA when Flick premieres.
Kendrick Lamar is no stranger to using his words to deal with racism and oppression. His highly acclaimed album and songs like “Blacker the Berry” released in 2015 are from the perspective of someone who has seen and experienced a lot of people. His rap always has a deeper meaning. This project will be no different. While laughter is certainly his first comedy movie, hopefully Kendrick makes sure there are some teaching moments surrounding the history of slaves.
