No one knows how to disrupt the Internet like Kendrick Lamar. The rapper has a history of being pretty normal when it comes to new album releases. However, 2024 showed another side of him. Lamar has been in stealth mode, popping up and singing a devastating song before retreating. It was this strategy that helped him emerge victorious in his battle with Drake. The fight appeared to be over, but Kendrick Lamar decided to keep the game plan the same. The rapper posted a song on Instagram on Wednesday night and the internet immediately went into meltdown.

Some might say the new song is the most mysterious of Lamar’s career to date. At least Drake’s remarks had a proper title. The new film is yet to be titled and will only be available to stream on Instagram. Fans went crazy trying to fill up all the new bars and determine what each one was used for. Kendrick Lamar has become the Taylor Swift of hip-hop, as every word he speaks is dissected and celebrated with fourfold meaning. That said, this song is pretty damn good, and fans everywhere seem to agree.

Kendrick Lamar wows fans with his latest song

The song’s creepy vibe led Twitter users to compare Kendrick Lamar to Omar from “The Wire.” One user even included a clip of the fictional gangster walking with fans and wrote, “This is what it feels like when Kendrick Lamar drops anything right now.” Others struggled to come up with a comparison, just Surprised by what the rapper has planned. “Kendrick Lamar may be the most calculated and moving art of war we’ve ever seen in rap music,” another user tweeted.

Then there are fans trying to explain the significance of Lamar’s fall on September 11th. Of course, there must be a deeper meaning here, right? Keep scrolling to read more social media reactions to the song. Do you think Lamar will eventually drop his album? Let us know in the comments, and check back soon for more music/pop culture news updates.
