Kendrick Lamar’s upcoming untitled comedy has been postponed until 2026.
The film was originally revealed in 2022 and has seen some delays. Filmmaker Dave Free’s Kendrick Lamar, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been launched on March 20, 2026, announced at Cinemacon. It is scheduled to be released on July 4 this year.
Deadline reports that the main reason for the delay is that Kendrick began his global tour on April 19, while Parker and Stone promised South Park’s commitment. The plot and cast are wrapped, but it is known to be a raw live-action comedy.
