Kendrick Lamar to Headline 2025 Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on Apple Music
Kendrick Lamar will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on February 9, 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. In the video, he himself officially announced that he will participate in the 2025 Super Bowl in February.
“You know you only get one chance to win a championship. There’s no second round,” Compton Rhymes said in the video, which can be seen below.
Kendrick’s Super Bowl halftime performance will hold a special place in hip-hop history as he will be the first to headline the event since The Black Eyed Peas performed at Super Bowl XLV in 2011 solo rapper.
“Rap music remains the most influential genre of music ever created. I will be there to remind the world why. They found the right thing,” Kung Fu Kenny said in a press statement.
Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation company is co-producing the halftime show, added: “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-lifetime artist and performer. His love for hip-hop and culture epitomizes his artistic vision.
Creative direction for Prizkenny’s halftime show will be provided by pgLang, the creative agency founded by Kendrick and longtime collaborator, filmmaker Dave Free.
Kendrick previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.
The 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show will air live on Fox on February 9, 2025.

Did Kendrick take a subtle jab at Drake?
In a video promo for Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show (shown below), he may have taken a subtle jab at his rap rival Drake when he said: “You know you only get one chance to win a championship. There’s no second round.”
The 37-year-old’s rhyme may be referring to a video posted by Drizzy on his Finsta account, which alluded to former Detroit Pistons player Rasheed Wallace’s remarks during Round 2/Game 2 : “Y’all put it on the front page, the back, the middle of the page… We’re going to win Game 2.”
However, in February, “Not Like Us” will be sung by millions and thousands of people at Caesars Dome in New Orleans, which in itself will be insane.
