Kendrick Lamar isn’t taking any risks for his upcoming video shoot in Compton, pulling in extra security from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
Rumors have circulated all week that Lamar is gearing up to film the visual for his Drake diss “Not Like Us.” Sources say K. Dot is planning “some big events in Compton this Saturday,” encouraging fans to keep an eye out.

On Thursday, law enforcement sources confirmed the rumor, TMZ reported. The Sheriff’s Department has arranged for “extra security personnel” to be deployed at locations throughout Compton throughout the filming process.
The outlet reported that despite additional security measures, “there are currently no known threats.” However, like most people on the planet, law enforcement is aware of K.Dot’s recent feud with Drake and will be keeping an eye out for any trouble.
During the diss track war, there were many security threats related to many players, including multiple shootings. Police visited the OVO founder’s Toronto mansion three times in seven days.
On May 7, an intruder shot and killed a security guard standing outside the property’s gate. That same week, two intruders tried to break into the home.
Additionally, in April, a security guard was shot and killed at The Weeknd’s manager’s home. Both incidents happened just weeks after Drake and The Weeknd waxed each other.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar is believed to have filmed footage of the video during his epic Juneteenth concert, The Pop Out: Ken & Friends. This unique event was held on Wednesday (June 18) at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles.
