Keith Lee has been making headlines since his appearance at the BET Awards this weekend, largely due to viral confusion. Host Taraji P. Henson mistakenly thought she was another internet celebrity as she walked through the crowd to give people flowers. He later made it clear that he did not understand the error. In a TikTok, the food commentator explained that he didn’t have anything against Hansen, but he did have something against the event’s production team.
Hansen later responded to his complaint, claiming he was sitting in a different seat than the one he had been assigned and that was the cause of the confusion. She also said his “ego was bruised”, suggesting he made a fuss about the accident. “Life is too short for this kind of behavior,” she wrote. “He was not sitting in his seat [shrug emoji]”.
Man approaches Keith Lee, calls him DDG
Now, however, it seems a troll has decided to make fun of the viral drama by mixing Lee up with another guy. In a new video circulating online, he is walking with his team when a man approaches him and starts calling him DDG. When a security guard grabbed him, Lee repeatedly said: “Don’t do this.” The incident sparked mixed reactions from social media users in the comments section of Neighborhood Talk.
Some thought it was nothing more than an innocent joke. Others thought the man should respect Lee’s boundaries, especially considering everything he’s already been through this week. What do you think about a troll pretending to think Keith Lee is DDG after getting it wrong at the BET Awards? Do you think he went too far, or was it just an innocent joke?
