Kehlani is finally back with a brand new single titled “After Hours.”
Just one listen to the song and you can tell she’s aiming to take over the summer with this song. The song samples the popular Jamaican song “Coolie Dance Rhythm” written by Cordel Burrell. The highly sought-after Riddim has been sampled on several songs before, including Nina Sky’s “Move Ya Body.”
“I just wanna hang out,” Kehlani wrote in the caption of a post previewing the song. “I heard that if you play this sound and turn your butt in a circle to the right instead of to the left, you will bring good luck to all your women. Cheers to summer. Think less, feel more. To More fun…I think we need it.”
Listen to the track below. She also spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music about her return, sampling Nina Sky and more, which you can watch here.
