Kash Doll is going through some big changes recently and has announced that a name change will be one of them. During a recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, the performer revealed her plans to rebrand. According to her, being pregnant with her second child prompted her to want to change her stage name as she was now looking for something more sophisticated. She also pointed out various other “dolls” in the industry and the inevitable comparisons to her current name.
“I’m weighing a few things,” she explains, revealing the title she’s considering for her next album. “I was going to say ‘The Last Doll’, which means a lot, right? Like I thought I’d leave ‘The Doll’ thing behind. I think I’ll give it to my child – hopefully a girl. I’ll keep passing it on. “

When asked what she planned to do in the future, she responded by her birth name. “Kesha,” she said, “I’m a grown woman with two kids—I don’t want to be called a doll anymore. And then there are so many dolls. Shout out to them, you know what I’m saying, but every Every time my name is mentioned, it’s like, ‘Who’s the best doll?'” Of course, most commenters are fully supportive of the transition and will support the artist no matter what she goes through. Others were sad that she gave up the title, noting that they would continue to call her the way they knew she would.
